We had our "one digit midget" calendars in the shape of a steel pot, covering a pair of jump boots- to let everyone know how 'short' we were.

Jim Beam had a special Bottle of the "Shortimer" at one time, just a helmet and a pair of boots. One of my kids swipped mine. I'll see if I can get a picture of it. Da gum youngins' every time one comes for a visit half my house disappears when they leave. What is it with that? Always something to remind them of home I guess and when they were kids.

Thanks for stirring up the old memories, mostly good some bad. At least we "old codgers" know somebody gave a crap about us and the job we were doing. And we might be old but we are a whole long way from dead at least in spirit. I'm still just as cocky as the ol' days except I have refined it somewhat.

Thanks and best wishes, Bill
