If I am going to buy something and there is a rebate on it, I always send it in. I keep a stack of copies of rebate submissions that I am waiting to receive the check on, and I shred the submission forms once I receive the check. That stack has come in handy at least two times. The most recent being Dell who was 6 months late on a $150 rebate. That isn't something to sneeze about, so I called them and asked what was going on. The sent the check immediately. The other was on an Intuit rebate that was around $100 for upgrading. Again, nothing to sneeze at either. I faxed the documentation and that check was also in the mail. Yes, they are a hassle sometimes, but I handle hassles every day.
