This was a fabricated story, and I do apologize for posting it as True.
I do know, however, that while it was fabricated.....It was also Dead-on with how the Anti's Have been/and will again, go after EVERY gun, firearm, or bladed weapon.
We in the Hunting/Shooting community Must Stick together! The people who do want Our guns, Are in power. The only things keeping them from drafting sweeping legislation right now, is the infighting in their party, The knowledge that the NRA would fight it (I hope) every step of the way, and that (I again hope) the Bush would veto it, if it ever made it that far.
Zumbo's blog is a symtom of a deep underlying problem in Our communtiy. The lack of understanding amongst Us, over our diferent reasons for gun ownership.
For some, it's only about hunting, or the shooting sports. Others it's only home or personal defense. Still others believe it's all about the protection of our rights against tyranny.
I'm in just about all of the above catagories...some more than others.
Many in our community are in one, and only one. That's fine too, but these same people, are against Anyone in any of the Other categories......sometimes militantly so...as in Zumbo's case.
The anti's will use this as fuel to undo Us.
These people, if not "Brought back into the fold", will surely be our undoing. As has been said before........
We are Our own worst enemy.
We have to heal Our wounds....and become one again.
