I know a lot of people use a rope, but the Gunslinger provides security that a rope can't. Once you get the gun to the stand, a rope is useless. The Gunslinger secures the gun while you hunt, so if it falls, it can be easily retrieved, and will fall barrel down, so if it does accidentally discharge, it shoots the ground and not you.
I'm betting, as more people use the Gunslinger, we'll put that piece of rope right out of business.
