Jimi was ok. I never did care for his music. I just don't see what is so special about him, yet it seems that anyone who listens to rock idolizes him. Sure he was good in his day and I respect him for the influence he has had on rock music, but in all honesty, he wasn't that good. His biggest flaw was his sloppiness. Horrible technique which is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I can't claim to have any special talents in music, but one listen to Steve Vai, Joe Satriani or even Mikael Akerfeldt will put Jimi in his place as far as being an accomplished musician. Good music, poor musicianship.
