it just so happens that my dear hubby (who is in tunne with world...unlike myself) was watchin vh1 the other night and they had this how on called the top 40 sof rock songs er somethin. Of course they had comedians and whatnot on there makin fun of the songs.
Hubby was rollin on the couch and all I managed to do was raise my eyebrows. I never heard 99% of them songs they were playin.
Hubby knew em all...I aint have an iota of recognition to em.
Point bein, I fer the most part, has been "musically deprieved" from alot of different styles of music. However, I am very fluent in bluegrass, country and some southern rock. Even some "porch blues" as we call em.
I have played the 5 string all my life...but I can safely say that I am surely no master at the art. It amazes me how 80 year old men can move each finger (all with picks on em) all on different strings at the same time as fast as they do. I have slowed down over the years, mostly because I don't practice as much as I should. Instead, I play on occasion and mostly follow all of the blugrass festivals in the state and I enjoy them almost..(note...almost) as much as I do huntin & fishin.
I dont care who you are anywhere, if you can hold both feet still to the orange blossom special, you are mentally retarded. If you dont know what the orange blossom special is, er a good rendition of it....you have been denied a human right and I suggest you seek help fer it.
This is not the best part of the orange blossom special...but this'll do...listen to some of the others while yer at it..includin Black Mtn Blues, which is a good pace fer me to play...
