Hey Dom, my brother just got back from Germany last week. He brought some College Grad students on a tour of Martin Luther's stomping grounds. He was there for three weeks. Spent half the time with the students and the other half with some of my family that lives there. Sounds like he had a great time and wants to bring me next year.

If you don't grab the chance you are crazier than on outhouse rat. And take your lady also.
Most of the cities are beautiful. The history lesson is fantastic. My wife, family and I used to go to a different church almost every Sunday. As you walk up to the church you notice a plaque the reads "built in 1010". And you think, holy smoke, no pun intended, Thats 400 years before America was discovered. There is so much to see and do over there.
And rent a car, the country sides are spectacular and the little cafes, or Gasthauses as they are called are great.
If you get a chance see the Cathedrals in Trier and the one in Koln, thats Cologne in German. It was built over the top of Roman ruins during Charlemagnes time and has many historical artifacts from those times. That Cathedral was used by our Air Force as a navigation mark during the bombing raids in ww2, it is huge.
You are one lucky dog to get this chance. One other thing, The Nederlands, France, Luxembourg and Belgium are an easy drive.
Best wishes, Bill
