Good decision to stay away from mechanicals, though they may work at that draw weight.
I wouldn't be too concerned about the chisel points, such as Muzzy's though.
Razorcaps would be my choice in your son's situation, or any cut on contact broadhead. He may actually be better off with a two blade than a three - for penetration reasons. Either way, as long as he keeps his shots to reasonable distances he'll be fine.
