.50 BMG

once again, the wonderful state legilsature of the republik of kaliphornia decided its citizens should not be allowed to own one of this or larger, caliber.

as many of you are aware of, once they were outlawed here, ron barrett of barrett rifles refused to work on the LAPD's .50 BMG's saying; "that's an illegal weapon, i will not work on it..."

good for him!

he in fact relocated his business to a more firearms-friendly state as a result of the action of our state legislature.

anyway...

i was able to fire a mcmillan .50 BMG during a trip to the great state of arizona.

very impressive...indeed.

i would not use one for anything but long distance target.

it would destroy anything smaller than a cape buffalo.

very expensive ammo and reloading

but, nevertheless, would be fun to try to hit a beer can at 2000 yds...
