Methinks the price is a bit out of line. First, it's an Eddystone. They have an undeserved bad reputation, but if one knows what they are doing, you won't crack the receiver when you try to remove the barrel. A 17 Enfield by Winchester or Remington will command a bit more money, but the Eddystones have that cracked receiver stigma.
FWIW, I paid $180 for my Eddystone with ra Redfield receiver sight and I'd guess a pretty nice Bishop or Fajen stock. I'd also recheck that barrel length. I believe it should be 26".
The 17 Enfields are pretty nice rifles, but heavy as hell. At least the weight keeps the kick down.
I'm still kicking myself for passing on a minty 17 by Winchester, all military original for $400. maybe next time, like at the gunshow tomorrow.
