Fabs,
Thought that might get your attention.... I am an insurance broker. My office staff wrote insurance on a young archetect here in FL. He moved to CA with his turbo, Carerra, wife and young daughter.

One day, he decided to pass a slow car on a hill, wham, headon by truck coming in opposite direction. Wife dies, child is injured. He sues himself on behalf of the child, sues himself on behalf of the wife, claiming he was neglegent in the death of his wife and injury to child.

Company said this has got to be a joke. Nope, constitutonal attorney in CA said it was perfectly legal under CA law. Company tried to fight it, ended up paying $500K. I just shake my head every time I think about it. But, yes, it is a method to fleese the insurance companies.
