Welcome to HC Watchmaker and thanks for your rundown and thots on binoculars, interesting. I sprung for the Leica BRF 10x42, expensive yes, but what sold me was the built in Rangefinder out to 1000m or so, fantastic glass. That and I got a good price, $1400 versus what they're going for nowadays.
