I know what all of you are talking about. My experience was back when the Military switched from the .45 to the Baretta and you could buy those 1911 .45s for chump change and while it was partly due to stubborness on my behalf I mostly passed on buying them because my Dear Ole Mother did not allow Handguns in her home... Rifles and shotguns were A-OK but no handguns. Well when talking about her rules and the 45s that I wanted to buy one day my Grandfather told me to just buy the gun(s) ( I wanted two) and keep it at his house. Well being young and stubborn I wasn't about to buy a gun and have to keep it somewhere that I couldn't have it on hand at a moments notice and I passed on Pop's offer to keep it in his gun cabinet for me and Today I still (ouch--ouch) kick myself whenever I think about it.
