I don`t like changeing scopes at the last min. because I don`t trust them being zeroed. I do have several extra scope around, but if one fails me on a hunt, i just grab another gun that is ready to go. I also buy nothing but Leupold scopes. I have them in fixed power from 2X to 36x and varable form 2 x 7X to 8.5 x 25X. I have more 3 x 9`s than anything else as I think that power range is best for alround hunting. For low light I like the 2 1/2X with heavy cross hairs. So far I haven`t found any use for lighted raticals. If it`s that dark I`ll go night vision. But then I`m old and set in my ways.
