I'm curious about that .54 cal Maxi mold....is it the same as the T/C maxiball? If so, where did you find it....I've been looking for that (or a maxihunter) mold for quite some time now.

There are a lot of superior molds than TC's. You might want ot check out

Can make a custom mold you of your own design that will improve over the Maxi-ball molds.
Lyman has a 450 grain Plains bullet 548657 at
http://www.lymanproducts.com/lymanproducts/index.htm
that might work for you as well. The Maxiball is a great penetrator, but not much on expansion and does a good job, but there are lots of other bullets that will do the job as well or better that you can get your mitts on.
