looks like it would work.
I use a dual fuel coleman lantern and a west highland terrier.
The lantern is kinda yellow light, but it's the dog that is the key. Anydog can be taught to bloodtrail with a string and butchers blood.

I don't know but I've been told it's hard to swim with the weight of gold. On the other hand I have heard it said it's just as hard with the weight of lead.
