Glad to see you guys are getting to enjoy the weather, too!
I pulled into Glenn County (town of Willows, CA) on Thursday night to my travel trailer at my Duck Hunting Lease. We got slammed at about 2:45 a.m. Friday. Power out at 6:30 a.m. and I stayed in till 9, then went to my blind. We had periodic sustained winds in excess of 80 mph!!! I can now officially say that I have hunted in a Category 1 Hurricane!

I spent the entire day in the hole with Jack dog. The birds were everywhere but shooting is pretty damned tough in those winds. It calmed down to a "mild" 30 mph blow and then the birds started working and I started connecting with my shots. Repeat on Saturday under much quieter conditions then did a layout in the Goose Field for some Specklebelly Geese. Came home last night from what is still considered a "Disaster Area" with limits of birds!

Power is still out in the farm area where the trailer is and will be for several more days. Over 100 utility poles were destroyed in Friday's event in Glenn County alone.
