, and in my own state of Va. we had Governor Jim Gilmore a few years ago. He got elected on doing away with the car tax, which he did. However he neglected to figure out how to replace the revenue lost in his nice little tax cut. The result was cuts to the budgets for law enforcement, wildlife programs, education, pretty much everything across the board. Of course he was out of office by then. Everyone likes a tax cut, but it is a simple law of economics that, when you bring in less, there is also less to spend.
