a few things in this.

1. Freedom of speech should not be moderated by the ommission of any word no matter what letter it starts with.

2. Common curtesy isn't common anymore. I have known very racist people who would still stop to help a person change a flat tire in the rain no matter what color their skin was. I don't know many who still would.

3. Freedom of speech does not mean I have to stand around and listen to your racist, arogant, supremist, or religous rantings. It just means you have the right to say them. It doesn't give you the right to hinder ANYBODY else from a job from an employer that isn't you, from walking down the street, etc. It does however give you the right to hire people of like mind. IE why WOULD an aethist want to work in a Christian book store anyway? And don't throw in the color card on me. I ate in a taco bell last night where there was not a single employee or customer other than myself who wasn't black. I didn't have a problem with it because they were working, but I find FAR more stores are 100% or nearly 100% black, mexican etc. You can't have a store 100% white, and God forbid you want all Christians of any color to work for you. Or non-smokers, or married adults, or single adults. You know folks some people just fit some jobs better than others. Married adults tend to be more responsible than single adults, Single adults tend to be able to work later hours than married adults, and YES I think ANY responsible adult with children SHOULD be given some extra considerations. Just as any responsible adults TRYING to have children should have some. Wendy's gives bonuses to its employees who adopt children. Nobody says a word. But let a company go pro-life and all hell breaks loose. (Man this one got longer than I intended)

4. Like it or not there is no room for a racist of any kind in the White house, and there shouldn't be room in congress. You might despise part of your consituancy, you still have to vote the way they want you to, and do what is in their best interest if their interest in the matter isn't clear.

I agree with MT Pockets. I do appreciate freedom of speech. If people let you know who they are then you have a better idea who to talk to and who to walk away from.

It is natural for people to flock to their own "kind". Be it race, color, religon, marital status, or just getting on a bulletin board about hunting because they like to hunt or like the outdoors.

my 17 cents.
