Thank you for the input but...
The problem with all that is that I cannot install/run those programs from safe mode. When I start my computer in normal mode it locks up in about 30 seconds: no where near long enough to do anything but get more pi$$ed off. McAfee has worked well for me for the last 2 years which is about 18 months longer that Norton ever did. All those other programs work great (I've used them in the past) but they don't do me much good if I can only work in safe mode.
