There really isn't much to say. Anything was possible in this country before Obama got elected, and anything is possible after his election. The fact that he got elected shows that anything is possible. I think the morons are just spouting something they heard on TV. With hard work and determination, people can accomplish almost anything.

Somebody told me that they overheard two black men screaming at a white woman in a mall that they didn't have to worry about "the man" anymore since Obama is President. If that isn't the stupidest thing I have ever heard, I don't know what is. Who is "the man" and what makes them think they don't have to worry about "the man".

The poor are poor for a reason. On another board, I have heard that being poor is a mindset, and that it is hard to get out of it. I guess I kind of understand that, because a lot of us are reflections of our parents. However, my parents came to this country poor, worked hard their entire lives, and now have something to show for it. It is all about wanting to better themselves, and being willing to work hard to do so.

I didn't vote for Obama, but now that he is going to be the President I surely hope he does a very good job because this country needs it. The economy doesn't look like it will be getting any better until 2010, if then. We are probably looking at 2 years of tough times, maybe more. If he can do something about the economy, I will be impressed. Time will tell what kind of President he is.

There are all of two things I really hope don't happen. I hope there isn't another terrorist attack on American soil because I don't think Obama is the right guy to deal with that, but I could be wrong, and I definitely hope he lives through his entire Presidency because his death would probably cause some serious riots that this country cannot afford right now, if ever.
