I bought a 16' ladder stand this summer. I've taken two nice bucks out of it. One at 5yds one at 50yds.
I also have an old climber that I like to be at least 20' off the ground, 30' is even nicer...depends really on surroundings.
I haven't heard of any stands higher than that.
I'm in south central Virginia.
