My parents lived in a subdivision years ago where the post man walked up to the house to deliver, the boxes were on the house fronts, not at the road.
It was this time of year, and a guy that ran out of his house and grabbed a couple mail bags from the little truck the mailman parked at the corner and dashed back inside. The mailman and a neighbor saw the whole thing and called the boys in blue.
Same deal, snow on the ground, plus witnessess. They found the fool looking for money in Christmas cards in his house when they arrived.
Some people are beyond stupid...
