KT...try a Tube call
Try a Knight and Hale tube call. They really are great finishers. They do not have a LOT of volume but if you can learn to use one they really are quite good...and they don't cost an awful lot..maybe 30 bucks with a few extra diaphragms. Harold Knight taught me how to blow one years ago and I still have 3 or 4. You do have to carry extras because they use a thin rubber diaphragm and they are somewhat fragile. One of the guides that worked with us won the (world champeens)calling contest at the waterfowl show in Easton with a tube call. The Sean Mann long calls are fairly easy to blow too. I like 'em better than the shorty. Just my preference. I have about 6 Sean Mann calls. Have a white acrylic that I never use..Sounds good...just don't use it. Black one too..but my favorite is the first one he made for me. It's a maple call. I also have another wooden call he made for me. Don't remember the type of wood but it sure is fancy. I've got other high end calls but nothiing really blows better than what I am used to. I also have a dozen or so Olt 800's and a few Olt 77's...Some a new in the boxes yet.
