We have quite a few cast iron(known as Arn) We have a few Griswolds that stay on the stove. Momma cleans 'em ever now and then.. But she gets 'em clean then uses a little lard on 'em and puts 'em on the wood stove to make 'em right. I think Dan has the right way to season 'em..but momma likes to do it "her way"

..It's what her daddy taught her. I like cookin chile in the cast arn dutch over pot. Works good. Had some yesterday. But I didn't have no corn bread.. Like it cooked in a cast arn pan too.
