[Mr. 16 gauge]

Just a quick question....are parkerized finishes resistant to rust/corrosion, and if so, how well do they protect a firearm (as good as nickle? Stainless steel?)....
I've been looking for a stainless steel revolver to carry while fishing....potent (.357), and will resist rust from water, sweat while wearing waders, ect.
However, I just realized that my Sprinfield armory 1911 has a parkerized finish.
....am I good to go?
