I can only hope and pray that they make the Dakota #10 at a reasonable price. Fat chance of that happening. i cannot see why they can't bring out a plain model with decent wood and checkering and keep the price under two grand.

I had the chance to shoot one in their plainst version in .270 Win. and the guy put out $4.,500 for it. I have Ruger #1's with better wood than what was on that Dakota. Still, I'd love to have one, probably in 7x57 Mauser. That one would get used a whole lot, I kid you not.
