Throw it like you are pitching a baseball. If you are hitting handle first choke up on it some and throw from closer to the head, if you are throwing and the top of the head hits first ease up and throw from further down the handle.
And start out closer to the target (but not so close you get hit by bounces) and buy 12 extra handles until you get decent. After you get decent you only need three extra handles
