Old Record Players and Old Records.

I went to a local indoor "yard sale" sort of operation supporting the county childrens' home and was stunned when the sign on the door said, "All records are FREE." Last month I got a 78 RPM Crosley record player for free and then a week later I got a 33and 1/3 and 45 RPM record player and humongus speakers for $25.00. I just needed records.

I went to the shop and began the laborous task of checking 6 BIG boxes of records. I brought 4 home and carried all to my den and fired up my record players. I am thrilled with ALL the great sounds I now have on establishment.

I have a box of Christmas stuff. Another box is Gospel songs. A big box is Country/Western and another is of "Oldies" ( the 1950s and 1960s.). Another box is Marches and Patriotic stuff in case the current Administration loses its way!

What is not to like? I have OLD stuff that one will never hear again on the radio. My dog also likes the oldies stuff. She has an ear for quality stuff, eh, wot?
