Del,

It is great to hear from you, even though some of the news is bad. However, it seems you have a bunch of good news too. You have custody of your daughter and when we went shooting several years ago, which might be the last time I went clays shooting, you were working off and on doing wood flooring. So, now you have a steady job and last I checked EMTs make decent money too. I'm always looking for the silver lining in the cloud.

Like you, I have done very little hunting and shooting over the past two or three years since my daughter was born. I went dove hunting on September 1, 2009 and then got terribly sick with what my wife and I think was Lyme disease, but the doctors never were able to figure out what it was and all the Lyme tests came back negative. They finally treated me for Lyme at the end of September and around mid October I was able to move again and actually do a little work. Well 2 months behind on work and am just now starting to get caught up. On top of that, that day dove hunting sucked. I saw all of 4 birds and all of them were too far to shoot at. Even my dog was whining toward the end of the day, and I had to limp all the way back to the truck. I still have slight flare ups with pain in my feet, but the arthritis is nowhere near as bad as it was back in last September (i.e., in every joint of my body).

Anyway, let me know if you want to shoot again at Pintail Point and I will make the drive down. My sister and brother in-law live in Annapolis and they like shooting there too.
