Compared the new Rem. 870 Express Youth Model 16 with my 1952 870 16 Skeet. Remington should be embarrassed, Express has composite stock 23" tubed barrel vs Skeet from 52 with wood stock and 26" vr barrel bored skeet, at least a half lb. difference just in the barrel, soon as I set my scale up will give you an accurate weight. The 52 870 weighs in at 6.76 lbs. Don't get me wrong the Express am satisified with the express for what it will be used for, but can't believe Rem. could have screwed up so bad on the so called reintroduction of the 16.
