it's no doubt, a disaster...however we must keep in mind that oil is a part of our NATURAL environment just like lead, mercury and uranium. what there is left after clean up will no doubt be absorbed naturally.
the oil companies should be held liable, and they are being, but...things will, more than likely, recover. it'll take a while, though.
I'm not trying to minimize the disaster just trying to see some hope.
