The only surplus rifle was an 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle that was well rusted and missing the upper handguard. The bore was dark and the bolt handle was covered solid rust. It seems the rifle was stored in a damp basement for a number of years. I offered to clean up the rifle, but was told the new owner wanted to do it. He asked about ammo and resale value. I told him my opinions and left. All the best...
