Still shooting aluminum (when I do shoot....don't bow hunt much any more), but I must say that my accuracy improved 100% when I switched to a mechanical release.

Would like to try and build my own composite bow someday........I need like, a 32 hour day to get all my wants and needs done!
i made my own longbow...ended up 47#@28" and shoots great...try it, it's a great experience. making the bow press was the most difficult part of all. there's lots on online supply house and help available to "make your own"
