When I get a "new" 22rf I usually get about 10-12 different kinds of ammo and head to the range. Shoot some 5 shot groups and see what ammo does the best for accuracy. I only do this with guns that I will be shooting when I need good accuracy. Sometimes what shoots best will sirprise you. In my Wiinchester 52, standard velocity ammo does the best for accuracy. In my Ruger 77/22, it is Stingers, Winchester Power Points, and Federals. I usually shoot the Winchesters due to price difference and little group size difference.
