It was cold and windy at 0630 yesterday for the Tioga County rifle deer opener. I saw nothing until noon when I saw four does bedded in my core area. I kept on moving without breaking stride and they stayed safe. We have far too few deer here. I wish you Southeast PA folks would live trap a few thousand deer and bring them here. None of my neighbor farmers shoot does so our diminished deer herd can recover!
