Well, I have started installing the cabinets, got the Bridgeport in and the 14x40 gear head lathe ordered. The building is 40x45. This is the inside of the metal shop area which is 20x45ft. The yellow pine counter top was installed on the base cabinets yesterday, two opposite grain 2x12s with a 1x2 glued between them then a 2x8 glued and screwed as a back splash. Yellow pine for those outside the south, is stronger than steel by weight. the setup for a counter top is one very stout slab of wood.
