Is there a sporting goods store in Anchorage that has good quality clothing and hunting gear that if you can't find in the lower 48 that you could purchase there?

How about a rifle rental place?

MOST OF THE STUFF IS THE SAME....JUST MORE $$$$
BARNEY'S SPORTS CHALET ON NORTHERN LIGHTS IN ANCHORAGE HAS SOME STUFF. PACKS, TENTS ... THAT ARE UNIQUE..... ALOT OF OTHER STUFF THAT YOU CAN FIND IN "AMERICA" BARNEY'S HAS A WEB PAGE ALSO
ALASKA TENT AND TARP- SOME GREAT TENTS
NOT SURE ABOUT GUN RENTAL. CHECK WITH GREAT NORTHERN GUNS IN ANCHORAGE.

They have a Sportsman Warehouse in south Anchorage that has a pretty good selection of stuff, kinda like Cabela's

oops i had misread the first note. thought you were looking for unique alaska stuff.
besides sportsman warehouse and i hear they are building one in fairbanks and wassila :-)
mountain veiw sports- old seward hwy near 36th- anchorage
bj commercial- c st and northern lights has some stuff
always fred meyers and walmart
sports authority in same area as sportsman warehouse.
