Spotting Scope - Heads

If anyone can share with me what you are using for a tri-pod head on your spotting scopes I'd appreciate it.

I'm interested in 'in the field' use, i.e., pan/tilt or ball heads, which is better and why, and if you recommend a specific model.

I've got a small tri-pod, with pan/tilt type head, but not sure how that's going to work in the field. Waidmannsheil, Dom.
