marlin model 983

I am looking at buying a new marlin model 983 -in 22 mag cal.
could any one give me some info..as far as how do these rifels
perform.any draw backs anyone has had with these guns?i will be shooting ground hogs at no more than 50 yards

I have a Marlin 883 which is the same rifle except for the T-900 fire control system. I have used it for groundhogs and like it. All the best...
