| Cleaning 'em

Ok, I found two today, a smallish three, and a fair sized four-point behind my house (I figure he must have gone about 15 inside spread, and a five inch G2). Most of it was submerged, and covered with a thin film of moss. I washed the green off, but it still smells really bad. Any secret to cleaning? By the way, antler dog...bad idea. I had my wife's dog with me at the time, he came up behind me, stole the three point right out of my hand and took off. Good thing he's slow.
