Yes, here in Ohio we are charged sales tax for taxidermy work. It varies according to each county's tax rates, but it's usually about 6%, give or take. How is it down in TN?

Currently, we have no sales tax on Taxidermy work as it is classified as "services." Give them time; they tax us to death on EVERYTHING else! We pay 9.25% on most things.
