pigeon trapping

In response to a thread in the varminting forum here is a method of trapping pigeons.

The trap is simply a 4 foot box made from poultry netting ,AKA chicken wire, with the top made from woven wire fencing.
Simply the birds land on the box,hop down inside (to eat your bait) and cannot fly out.
I've never had the ocassion to try this trapping method, there are only about 5 pigeons that hang out here in the barn, but it seems like a winner to me.
Besides using them yourself for dog training maybe you could sell them to other
dog trainers.
Use corn for bait scattering plenty around the trap but most of it inside. Since its a colony trap the first few birds inside will draw the others inside.
This may not be a legal trap in your state.
Good luck. Let me know how it works

Yeah dried corn.
I would suppose birdseed would work also but out here in farm country dried corn just seems a natural.
