Canadian Gov't voted out

The Canadian Gov't just got voted out, the non-confidence vote was successful. One can only hope the next gov't will be more Hunter and Firearm friendly. C-68 must be repealed. Integrity and accountability in gov't must be restored.

I just read in todays National Post (Dec.8th.) that Martin is immediately introducing legislation to outlaw handguns in Canada.
There's no level to which this vulture won't stoop to get re-elected. We already have sufficient laws on the books to solve our handgun problems, if they would simply enforce them. What are we paying prosecuters and judges for if they won't enforce existing laws? It's time to turn these guys out to pasture. Maybe it's even too late. I can't say I'm very proud of my government at this moment. Best wishes.

What he said: "I will ban all handguns from this country."
What the reality is: He proposed legislation that would allow provinces to pass stricter laws on handguns, including banning them. Why didn't he just say that? Because he is a liar.
Here in N.B., at least our province has laughed in his face and told him exactly what you just said, Cal -- enforce your own laws.
It just goes to show exactly how stupid the man thinks we Canadians are. What an insult to the intelligence of any Canadian who knows anything about firearms and the laws that pertain to them.
Shame!
Of course, most people have no clue about the reality of gun laws today in this country. They think we can pop over to Canadian Tire, pick up a .44, shove it in our pocket and go bar hopping.
Sheesh!

the sad part about all of this is how many crimes are committed with registered handguns, not very many, and this quack is going to make all the law abiding people pay by taking there handguns away.all there going to acomplish is turning innocent people into criminals, because people are going to say '"piss on you" you cant have my handguns that i responsably use and store and has been registered.this government needs drastic change.otherwise this will be only the beginning, our hunting rifles will be next.lets hope for change for the good,FOR ONCE
