This is funny
I live out in the country, and there's a gravel road going to our house. On the side of the road there's short grass that we cut (about 6ft wide) and then it gets to tall grass. Well one day on my way to work I saw a turkey standing in the short grass, as I got closer with the car I thought it would run into the tall grass. But it didn't, it ran right along side me between the car and the tall grass. It was funny, I raced it for like 2 minutes before it finally headed for the woods. Those guy are fast!

Oh yeah, they can move on the ground. Their speed came up the other night at dinner, and my sister thought she would be able to catch them on foot. I told her that it would be a miracle if my yellow lab could catch one, much less her.

When me and my brother were younger we thought we could catch one. We would see them at the end of our field and try to sneak up as close as we could, then take run at them. We didn't have a chance

No, they can run almost as fast as they can fly.Either way it's faster than I can go.Iv'e seen them run the edge of a field making better time than a horse.
