'86/'93 Lebel

Finished the refurb on my Lebel and shot it last week. With 180 gr RN lead bullets @ about 1550 fps it shoots into 2 minutes. When I get time to play with the loads, should do a bit better. Rather an intertaining old rifle. After shooting it a couple days I have more respect for the Foreign Legion, and I'm beginning to understand why the French couldn't win a war!

Recently aquired an Arisaka 38 Carbine. This is military but rebarreled to 308 ( 7.62). I'm thinking maybe Korean? Any ideas?

Also picked up a Berthier Carbine with large "PK" stamped on it. Would that be Viet?

Cheers all

Welcome to the Forum

I picked up an 1892 carbine in 8MM Lebel for $50.00 and it is in mint condition. I have it handy when watching the movie Beau Geste and the remakes. Take care...
