turkey hunting w\ bow
This year im going to try to kill a turkey with my bow. I have everything set up for deer hunting, and I was planning on just using my arrows and my broadheads that I use for deer hunting.I shoot 100 grain muzzys and they work AWESOME for deer and I figured instead of paying money to by broadheads for turkey hunting I would just use my muzzys. anyone have any advice??

Your same deer setup will work. Check out the turkey forum. Tht Huntchat prostaff goes down to IL each year and normally one of us is filming and shooting birds with a bow. By far the best invention for turkey hunting with a bow was the Double Bull blind.
BTW, here's what a muzzy does to a turkey's head at 12 yards. http://www.huntchat.com/showthread.php?t=45383

Your deer setup will certainly suffice. I've got a few friends who use their fall gear for spring turkeys with success.

I shot that turkey in the vid with a Hoyt Vtec at 69lbs with an Easton 2413 / 100g Muzzy 4 Blade. Same setup I use for everything. The key to our setups is bring them close. We usually set up the strutter decoy at 10 yds from the blind. The birds will typically go right to that decoy. Shoot for the head when they are strutting because you have a target about the size of a soft ball with their head/neck all curled up. Stay calm and remember that hitting a softball at 10 yards isn't that hard! Remember when they are head on, you only have about an inch to hit, so broadside is better. I prefer to head shoot because you have one of 2 things...a dead bird or a slightly scared bird. If they aren't that close, my favorite shot is going away to break the back. Second would be right on the wing butt broadside. They don't go anywhere when hit properly. I completely stay away from head on shots to the body. I lost a turkey that I felt was shot perfectly at 34 yards so now I stay away from that.
