I was just wondering if deer move in the rain?

Deer move very rarely in the rain. The usually only move when they absolutely have to. However, as soon as the rain stops, they generally move plenty. I have heard people say that it is because they can smell better with the mist in the air, but it might also be because they haven't moved in a while. Of course, others on here might have a different opinion than me.

I see deer feeding during a light rain. At times they actually seem to like it.
They my move during heavy rains for all I know, I'm just not there to see them. |

I have personally found that deer do move if the rain is light but prefer to bed in cover if it is more moderate to heavy.
What I have found more critical during a rain is the actual wind associated with fronts as deer lose a vital portal of protection in windy conditions. |

I'vee seen them move a bunch in light rain---as long as the wind isn't very high.

Prior to big storm fronts they move around and also light rain does not seem to effect them also in my area.
