Swift
Was just wondering what you all think about Swift scopes. Got 1 on my 17 HMR. Thought of getting 1 for my 300, but was wondering if they can take the shock. Any ideas.

I was interested in one, until I saw the majority have 2.8 to 3" of eye relief. Being an eye glasses wearer I don't even consider a scope until the company promises a MINIMUM of 3" of relief. So on a .300 mag I would think twice.

I think Swift scopes are some of the best optics for the price that you'll find.
I'm not sure that I'd put one on a big kicker though. I've had one on my varmint rig for the last 4 yrs and have experienced no difficulties. Their return policy is unmatched, if you should have a problem. Just return for an over the counter exchange. |

i have two swifts on smaller calibers - never had one on anything bigger than 270 but then again i own one 30-06 and i just dont care for any of the big stuff but i have never had a problem at all with either of the two - i have several leupolds also that i have never had a problem with but then again the swifts are just as clear and bright as the leos but they cost about a 1/3 of what the leos cost - for the money on a smaller gun i dont think you can go wrong but thats my opinion - leupold sure is hard to beat if you dont have a big mortgage payment and make lots of money
