I am thinking that this would be a neat little squirrel gun. I've been kicking the idea around also. Anybody using these yet on tree rats?

17 mach 2 and tree rats

I just bought one at christmas, a savage mark II LH varminter, mounted a weaver 4x16 w/target dot. Darn thing shoots so good its scary, with cci ammo it shot a 5 shot .231 group at 50 yds.
Took it out one eve, took 3 fat fox squirrels from 20-65 yds, all head shots. One quartering too shot exited above and behind the shoulder but did very little damage.
I had a trigger job done, other than that the mark II is an awesome lil rifle. I like it, think I'll work on a 10/22 target conversion.
